Compact Excavators

Mini Excavators for Sale

Mini excavators (compact excavators) are tracked machines from roughly 1 to 6 metric tons used for digging, trenching, landscaping, light demolition, and work in confined spaces. IGC supplies IGC-branded mini excavators built to order for contractors, rental fleets, and equipment dealers worldwide.

Sizes and configurations

IGC mini excavators span three size classes. The 1–2 ton class is light enough to tow behind a pickup and ideal for indoor work and small residential jobs. The 2–4 ton class is the most common rental and contractor size, balancing dig depth with transportability. The 4–6 ton (midi) class offers deeper dig depth and higher lift capacity for utility and foundation work. Most models use Kubota diesel engines and offer a choice of rubber tracks, canopy or enclosed cab, hydraulic quick coupler, and auxiliary hydraulics for attachments.

Common applications

Mini excavators are used for utility trenching, footings and foundation prep, landscaping and irrigation, fence and deck post holes, interior demolition, pool excavation, and farm and estate maintenance. Their compact tail-swing (or zero-tail-swing) designs let them work against walls and inside existing structures where larger machines cannot fit.

Buying considerations

When choosing a mini excavator, consider operating weight against your trailer and tow-vehicle capacity, maximum dig depth, bucket width for the trenches you dig, and hydraulic flow if you plan to run augers, breakers, or grapples. A quick coupler and auxiliary hydraulics add versatility; an enclosed cab with heat and A/C improves operator comfort on long jobs.

Export and shipping

IGC ships mini excavators worldwide by sea, air, rail, and road under EXW, FOB, CIF, CFR, and DDP Incoterms. Most units containerize for ocean freight. We handle production, inspection, freight booking, and export documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin).
